Killers of the Flower Moon is the Scorsese's first feature film since The Irishman, and his first with DiCaprio since The Wolf of Wall Street.

Never one to take a break, Martin Scorsese is gearing up for another major production with Killers of the Flower Moon. Following his Netflix mob movie The Irishman, the veteran director is well on his way with a brand new western.

The project has been developing since 2017, marking a sharp departure from Scorsese’s brand of mob movies – although he did once call Gangs of New York “a western set on Mars”.

Killers of The Flower Moon Release Date:
The production of Scorsese’s upcoming film kicked off in late April 2021. The shoot is expected to last through the summer.

The film could be ready for a release by December 2021. But it could very well be postponed to 2022 as well.

Killers of The Flower Moon Cast:
Leonardo DiCaprio
Robert De Niro
Jesse Plemons
Lily Gladstone

Killers of the Flower Moon has been adding cast members left and right to its roster. Last week, Deadline reported that William Belleau (The Twilight Saga: Eclipse), Louis Cancelmi (The Irishman) and Grammy-winning singers/songwriters Jason Isbell and Sturgill Simpson had joined the project. The film is part of an expanded offering of Apple Originals produced by Apple Studios, which includes content such as Emancipation, from director Antoine Fuqua and starring Academy Award-nominee Will Smith, The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey, from Academy Award-nominee Samuel L. Jackson, Lessons in Chemistry, starring and executive produced by Academy Award-winner Brie Larson, and Swan Song, a genre-bending film starring Mahershala Ali and Naomie Harris.
