Stranger Things season 4 has been confirmed by Netflix. Here's everything we know about season 4 so far, including news, spoilers and theories about Hopper and Eleven

The upcoming fourth season of the American science fiction horror television series Stranger Things, titled Stranger Things 4, was announced by Netflix in September 2019. The fourth season has continue to be produced by the show's creators the Duffer Brothers, along with Shawn Levy, Dan Cohen, and Iain Paterson

Stranger Things/Season 4 TV Series Release Date:

Stranger Things season 4 is arguably the most anticipated production that Netflix has right now. The next instalment in the Duffer brothers' wildly popular show is currently being filmed and, while there's been a steady stream of new information about it from the cast and crew, fans are desperate to find out when the next entry in the fantasy action drama will arrive.

The latest news drop for season 4 comes by Finn Wolfhard, who plays Mike Wheeler on the show. According to the actor, we shouldn't expect to see Stranger Things season 4 arrive in 2020 soon as per source.

The Covid-19 pandemic, for one, has set multiple movie and TV show productions back. It was obviously unsafe for any filming to take place on Stranger Things season 4 until recently and, with episodes and scenes still left to shoot, the next season's release date was obviously going to be pushed back as a result.

That's before you factor in other series and films that the cast and crew were busy with pre-pandemic. The likes of Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven) was shooting Enola Holmes and Godzilla vs Kong, while David Harbour (Jim Hopper) is part of Marvel Studios' upcoming Black Widow movie. Couple that with the Duffer brothers still needing to finish penning Stranger Things season 4, and there's enough evidence as to why it is taking a while to finish production.

Stranger Things Season 4 TV Series Trailer and Teaser:

The trailer is not out yet but the announcement of another season was made on September 30, 2019, just two months after the premiere of season three. The announcement was made through a video which dropped on the show’s official Twitter handle first with the caption “We’re not in Hawkins anymore”.

On February 14, 2020, as a welcome gift on valentine’s day, Netflix dropped a teaser of season 4 with the caption “From Russia with love” where Hopper can be seen as working for the Russians. However, fans were pleased to see Hopper alive.
