The Oppo Renault 5 5G smartphone may be launched in India soon. According to the report, the smartphone with the model number connected to the Oppo Renault 5 Pro 5G is listed on the website of the Bureau of Indian Standards, BIS. The launch of the phone in India was being teased as soon as it was launched in China earlier this month. However, the company has not clarified with which processor the phone will be launched in India. The Chinese variant is equipped with MediaTek Dimension 1000+ processor, which comes with up to 12GB of RAM. The phone is also listed on Singapore's IMDA certification website.
Posting details on social media, tech tipster Mukul Sharma said that the smartphone with model number CPH2201 has been listed on the BIS site. The Oppo Renault 5 Pro 5G with the same model number is listed on Singapore's IMDA certification site. The smartphone was launched in China in early December. It has been being teased in India ever since.
Taslim Arif, President of India at R&D at Oppo, tweeted asking Indians if they wanted a cool smartphone to shoot great videos in India, pointing to the launch of Oppo Renault 5 Pro 5G in the country. There is speculation in the market that the phone will debut in January, but it is still waiting for the company to make an official announcement.
Dual Nano SIM support Oppo Renault 5 Pro 5G runs on Android 11 based color OS 11.1.
It comes with a 6.55-inch Full HD + (1080x2400 pixels) OLD display. The phone supports 90Hz refresh rate and 92.1% screen-to-body ratio.
The phone in China is equipped with a MediaTek Dimension 1000+ processor, along with an ARM Mali-G77 MC9 GPU and up to 12GB of RAM. The phone has up to 256GB of storage.
For photography, the Oppo Renault 5 Pro 5G has a 4MP rear camera setup of 64MP (primary sensor) + 8MP (ultra wide angle lens) + 2MP (macro shooter) + 2MP (portrait shooter).
